Yumaklı: Between 1-31 August, 100 thousand 128 food inspections were carried out and a fine of 186.5 million lira was imposed.

ECONOMY SERVICE - Yumaklı, in his statement, emphasized that they continue inspections uninterruptedly to ensure citizens have access to safe food. Stating that they carried out 100 thousand 128 inspections on food businesses across the country between 1-31 August, Minister Yumaklı gave the following information about the sanctions imposed as a result of the inspections:

"While a fine of 186.5 million lira was imposed on businesses where non-compliance was detected, we filed a criminal complaint against 49 businesses. While we protect the rights of our honest tradesmen who do their job properly, our fight against those who adulterate the food of our citizens will continue with determination."
