Shopkeeper shot the attacker who threatened him in Zeytinburnu

The incident took place around 09.30 in Telsiz District. Allegedly, the armed suspect came in front of İsmail A.'s workplace and opened fire repeatedly. İsmail A., whose leg was grazed by the bullet during the fire, was slightly injured.

Thereupon, İsmail A. took his own gun and went after the fleeing suspect. During the chase, İsmail A. injured the attacker with a gun.

THE WOUNDED SUSPECT WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL

The suspect, who continued to run away after being injured, fell to the ground after a while. Upon notice, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. First aid was given to the injured suspect at the scene. It was learned that the suspect, who was then taken to the hospital by ambulance, was treated.

After the incident, İsmail A. was taken to the police station to be questioned. On the other hand, the security camera footage showed the moments when the suspect chased by İsmail A. escaped. It was claimed that İsmail A. had been threatened by different numbers for a while and that extortion was being demanded from him. Police teams are continuing to work on the incident.

Mustafa Şahin, who witnessed the incident on his way to work, said, "One of the two people coming from across the road was shooting at the person running away with a gun. They could not catch up because the child was too fast. The others turned back, leaving them halfway. I did not see the injured person, but the runner might have been injured. This happened at 09.30 in the morning. A young boy was running and turned white. He passed in front of us, we clung to the wall to avoid bullets hitting us. The teams came and caught the child."
