A 3-year-old boy who was hit by an ambulance has died. A rescue show ended in tragedy

Educational classes on first aid were held at the Local Government Kindergarten in Jedlicze in Podkarpacie. The show was prepared by lecturers and students of Emergency Medical Services of the State Academy of Applied Sciences (PANS) in Krosno. Unfortunately, a tragic accident occurred during the presentation - a 3-year-old boy was hit by an educational ambulance.

After the accident, the child was immediately provided with professional medical help. The emergency medical team transported the boy with a serious head injury to a clinical hospital in Rzeszów. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of doctors, the boy died on Friday. Information about the death was confirmed by both the hospital and the District Prosecutor's Office in Krosno.

The case of the accident is being handled by the District Prosecutor's Office in Krosno. The investigation is into endangering and unintentionally causing serious bodily harm. So far, no one has been charged.

After the incident, the ambulance driver and two kindergarten caregivers were detained - all of them were questioned as witnesses and released. The prosecutor's office emphasizes that the child's death does not change the course of the investigation.

The State Academy of Applied Sciences in Krosno issued an official statement expressing deep sympathy for the parents, relatives and kindergarten teachers. Rector of the university, Dr. Hab. Zbigniew Barabasz assured full cooperation with law enforcement authorities and declared his willingness to thoroughly explain the causes of the tragedy. He also emphasized that in the over 25-year history of the university's educational activities, a similar situation has never occurred.

For the sake of the investigation and the victims, the prosecutor's office is not currently providing detailed information about the proceedings. The authorities of the university and kindergarten assure cooperation with the relevant services and declare their readiness to take all actions aimed at clarifying the circumstances of the tragedy.
