The girl was admitted to the hospital in Nowy Sącz on January 11 this year. with serious injuries, including cerebral hematomas, a broken rib and arm, and numerous bruises all over the body. After the intervention of medical staff, the child was transported to the University Children's Hospital in Krakow, where he was hospitalized.

"The defendants initially did not confess to the crimes they were accused of, but at the final stage they confessed and provided explanations in which they expressed their will to voluntarily submit to punishment," said Justyna Rataj-Mykietyn, spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Nowy Sącz, on Friday.

Application for conviction without a hearing

According to the spokeswoman, the collected evidence included, among others: witness testimony and expert opinions, allowed the child's mother and her partner to bring charges. The 19-year-old man is also responsible for causing injuries to a child and giving his partner psychotropic substances.
