Two fires in an apartment building in Uplengen within a few hours

Two fires broke out in an apartment building in Uplengen (Leer district) within a few hours. The fire brigade is currently on duty on Großsanderstrasse and is extinguishing the second fire, as the police announced. According to current knowledge, no one was injured.

There had already been a fire in the building at around 11:20 p.m. that night. The cause of the first fire was initially unclear. After the operation was completed, the fire department was called again to the house around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday because another fire had been reported there.

It was initially unclear where exactly the fire broke out and how many apartments were affected. The police and fire brigade were initially unable to provide any information about the amount of damage caused. The extinguishing work continued in the morning.
