Zhang Han, spokesman for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, said that the reunification of the motherland is an unstoppable historical trend. "Peaceful reunification and one country, two systems" is our basic policy for solving the Taiwan issue. It is the best way to achieve the reunification of the motherland and is most beneficial to compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait and the Chinese nation. More and more people in Taiwan, including the New Party, have begun to discuss the specific content of the "two systems" Taiwan plan, imagining the bright prospects after reunification, thinking about the huge opportunities that reunification will bring to Taiwan's economic and social development, and the tangible benefits it will bring to the majority of Taiwan compatriots. On September 28, the 9th "National Unification and National Rejuvenation" Think Tank Dialogue was held in Enshi, Hubei Province. More than 100 experts and scholars from both sides of the Taiwan Strait and Hong Kong and Macao attended the meeting. Focusing on the theme of "seeking peace for both sides of the Taiwan Strait, seeking welfare for compatriots, and seeking rejuvenation for the nation," the participating experts and scholars actively discussed effective ways to promote the national reunification process, looked forward to the beautiful vision of national rejuvenation, and injected new wisdom and strength into the peaceful and integrated development of cross-Strait relations.
