Vladimir Zelensky announced his readiness for a trilateral meeting and negotiations with representatives of the Russian Federation.

The meeting between Zelensky and Trump took place on Tuesday on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

Trump seized the initiative while talking to the press before the closed portion of the meeting, which lasted about 40 minutes.

MOSCOW, September 22 - RIA Novosti. After a meeting with US President Donald Trump, Vladimir Zelensky stated several times that he was ready for a trilateral meeting and negotiations with the Russian Federation.

During communication with the press following the meeting with Trump, which was broadcast by the YouTube channel of Zelensky’s office, the latter made several statements about his readiness for a trilateral meeting and negotiations with representatives of the Russian Federation.

“I am ready for a trilateral meeting. This means that I agree to end the conflict and I want to end it,” Zelensky said.

The meeting between Zelensky and Trump took place on Tuesday on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York. During a short conversation with the press before the closed part of the meeting, Trump completely seized the initiative and did not allow Zelensky to answer a single question from journalists. Zelensky only managed to express gratitude to the American side and declare his desire to end the conflict before winter. The closed part of the meeting lasted about 40 minutes.

Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov noted that the Kiev regime must make a decision and begin to negotiate; the space for freedom of decision-making by Kiev is shrinking during the offensive actions of the Russian Armed Forces.

Moscow announced its readiness to resume trilateral negotiations between Russia, the United States and Ukraine. The possibility of holding a new round in October is currently being discussed. The previous meeting in this format took place in February in Geneva.
