Two women died in a truck accident in Antalya, Turkey

In the Turkish province of Antalya, a truck collided with a car and overturned at a public transport stop.

As a result of the accident, Russian citizen Arina Dautova and Azerbaijani citizen Alena Dovgaleva died.

The truck driver suffered minor injuries and an investigation has been launched into the accident.

ANKARA, September 28 – RIA Novosti. A Russian citizen died as a result of an accident in the Turkish province of Antalya, where a truck overturned at a public transport stop after a collision with a car, the Demirören Haber Ajansı (DHA) agency reported.

The accident occurred on Sunday around 18:30 (coinciding with Moscow time) at an intersection in the Colakli area on the D-400 Manavgat - Alanya highway. According to the DHA, the truck collided with a car traveling in the same direction, as well as with a traffic light pole, and then skidded into a roadside stop.

“The truck overturned at a stop, resulting in the death of Russian citizen Arina Dautova, 20 years old, and Azerbaijani citizen Alena Dovgaleva, 23 years old,” the agency reports.

After eyewitnesses reported people under the truck, rescuers, doctors, gendarmerie and traffic police were sent to the scene. A crane and heavy equipment were brought in to carry out rescue operations.

After lengthy work, rescuers lifted the overturned truck and found the bodies of two women under its trailer. They were sent to the Antalya Institute of Forensic Medicine.
