Jamaican Miss Universe contestant talks about serious injuries after falling from stage

Miss Jamaica titleholder Gabrielle Henry fell from the stage during a fashion show on November 19, 2025. In a new interview, Henry admitted that she doesn't remember anything about the fall. She later learned that she had fallen into an unclosed hatch on the stage. Henry had to relearn how to walk and take care of himself. “Brain trauma is the worst thing. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy,” she said.

The beauty queen decided to sue the Miss Universe and Miss Grant International organizations, which organized the competition in Thailand. Immediately after the incident, Miss Universe representatives claimed that the beauty queen suffered minor injuries, and only two weeks later they admitted that this was not the case. They ended up covering the costs of Henry's treatment.
