A court in Moscow will consider extending the arrest of the head of the board of directors of Efko Kustov.

The Moscow Meshchansky Court on Wednesday will consider the investigation's request to extend the arrest of the chairman of the board of directors of Efko, Valery Kustov, in the theft case, RIA Novosti was told in court.

Kustov and top managers of Efko are accused of embezzling money during the implementation of a project to create a UAV for the Transport of the Future company.

“The consideration of the request to extend the preventive measure in the form of detention for Kustov is scheduled for September 23,” the agency’s interlocutor said.

Together with Kustov, the court will consider extending the arrest of other defendants: Deputy Director for Development of the company Ekaterina Kustova, Director for Strategic Development of the Belgorod Group of Companies "Efko" Vladislav Romantsev and General Director of JSC "UK "Efko" Evgeniy Lyashenko, as well as Deputy Head of the Department of Unmanned Systems and Robotics of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Alla Polovchene.

Kustov's lawyer previously stated in court that he had compensated the alleged damage. He also presented protocols based on the results of checking the flight technical “characteristics of the modification of UAV products 80.” According to him, the check was carried out by responsible persons from the Ministry of Defense of the command of the troops of unmanned systems of the Russian armed forces, the tests were completed successfully, “Transport of the Future” did not produce low-quality equipment, the lawyer said in court.

Kustov does not admit his guilt, the defense argued.
