China News Service, Shanghai, November 6 (Lan Yini) On November 6, during the 9th China International Import Expo (referred to as the "CIIE"), the "Gathering the World, Selecting Quality Products"-"Zheli Buying Global" supply and procurement docking event was held in Shanghai. The Zhejiang trading group signed 20 import procurement agreements with overseas suppliers from the United States, Brazil, Switzerland, France, Indonesia and other countries and regions, covering categories such as food, agricultural products, medical equipment, and technical equipment.

This year, more than 11,000 purchasing companies and more than 44,000 professional visitors in Zhejiang have registered to participate in the CIIE. According to preliminary estimates, the provincial trading group’s intended purchase amount exceeds US$4.1 billion. Judging from the "shopping list", its purchasing logic is changing from buying goods to "buying technology and solutions."

As a "full-time student" of the CIIE, Zhejiang Petrochemical Co., Ltd. continues to use the exhibition to connect global industrial resources. This year, the company signed a contract to purchase a batch of German extrusion process equipment, which will be used in POE plastic (polyolefin elastomer) new material projects.

"We have purchased overseas technology products in recent years, and the scale of cooperation has been relatively large." Luo Wei, the company's executive director, said that the CIIE is a good opportunity to meet old friends and a high-quality platform to contact and inspect new partners. "We not only want to be buyers, but also hope to deepen technological exchanges and industrial chain collaboration with overseas partners to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results."

Cooperation at the CIIE is no longer just a "one-off deal." Wang Feiyong, business leader of Zhejiang Zhonggou Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., purchased about 200 million yuan of meat products from Brazilian suppliers. He said that the CIIE builds a bridge for face-to-face communication for cross-border trade and is conducive to establishing a stable and long-term partnership of mutual trust with overseas suppliers.

In the supply and procurement docking process, nearly 30 Zhejiang buyers negotiated face-to-face with more than 100 overseas suppliers. The event also released the "2027 Import Procurement Demand List of Some Import Enterprises in Zhejiang Province" and the "Full Chain Import Service Provider Directory in Zhejiang Province", bringing together more than 170 Zhejiang enterprises and import service providers with purchasing intentions, aiming to promote the extension of exhibition exchanges to long-term docking.
