(The 9th China International Import Expo) Brazil Science and Technology Exhibition Group showcases the new achievements of China-Brazil innovation cooperation

China News Service, Shanghai, November 6 (Reporter Zhao Qiang) A press conference on the cooperation results of the Brazilian Science and Technology Exhibition Group at the 9th China International Import Expo (hereinafter referred to as the "CIIE") was held on the afternoon of the 6th. Representatives from the Consulate General of Brazil in Shanghai and government agencies of the states of Santa Catarina, Mato Grosso and Piauí attended the event and introduced the participation of this exhibition group and the results of local cooperation.

During this CIIE, a series of activities of the Brazilian Science and Technology Exhibition Group were launched one after another. On the morning of the 6th, the exhibition group held an opening ceremony at the CIIE. Government investment promotion agencies, industry associations, scientific research and innovation platforms and technology companies from Santa Catarina, Mato Grosso, Piauí and other places made a concentrated appearance, covering fields such as technological innovation, digital economy, and intelligent manufacturing.

A cooperation signing was held at the launch ceremony. The Brazil Center of the China-Brazil Innovation Cooperation Platform signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Piauí State Investment Promotion Bureau and the Mato Grosso State Branch of the Brazilian National Industrial Training Service (SENAI). Among them, the cooperation with the Piauí State Investment Promotion Agency will further strengthen the connection between the northeastern region of Brazil and the Chinese market, and establish a docking channel for local industrial resources, investment projects and enterprises to enter the Chinese market; the cooperation with the SENAI Mato Grosso branch will focus on the exchange of vocational education, industrial skills and related innovative resources.

China-Brazil Innovation Week kicked off on November 5. For the first time this year, a "State Moment" special promotion session was set up. Representatives from Santa Catarina, Piauí, and Mato Grosso introduced the industrial characteristics and investment opportunities of their states respectively. On the same day, the Piaui State Shanghai Exhibition Center was unveiled at the launch ceremony of Innovation Week, which will regularly display the state's products, investment environment and cooperation projects. The "Brazil-China Science and Technology Dialogue" supporting event of the Innovation Week was held at the same time. Representatives from China and Brazil exchanged views on market access, localization implementation, intellectual property protection and compliance operations.

According to the Brazil Center, the platform will be officially operational on August 15, 2025; the Brazilian Science and Technology Exhibition Group has participated in the CIIE for three consecutive years.
