Wang Yi Meets with Palestinian Foreign Minister Farsin

Wang Yi said that China was one of the first countries to recognize Palestine. China and Pakistan are good friends and good brothers, and the two sides have inherited a friendship that has lasted for decades. No matter how the international situation changes, the Chinese people will always stand with the Palestinian people and firmly support the Palestinian people's just cause of restoring their legitimate national rights. Wang Yi said that the Palestinian issue is the longest-delayed hot-button issue and the world's greatest historical injustice since World War II. If this issue cannot be resolved fairly, lasting peace and stability will not be achieved in the Middle East. The current situation in the Middle East continues to be tense, which has brought new difficulties to the resolution of the Palestinian issue. The Palestinian issue should not be marginalized, and the world cannot forget the two million Palestinians struggling to die in Gaza. Justice may be late, but it will never be absent. As a responsible major country, China will continue to stand on the side of international justice and oppressed nations, and will continue to actively speak out for Pakistan's just cause on the multilateral stage. China will also call on all peace-loving countries to firmly support the "two-state solution" and jointly promote an early comprehensive, just and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue.

Falsin briefed on the latest situation of the Palestinian issue, stressed that the international community cannot adhere to double standards on the Palestinian issue, and highly appreciated China's just position on the Palestinian issue. Falsin said that Palestine is grateful to China for its long-term strong support for the restoration of the legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people, its persistence in speaking out for Palestine on international multilateral occasions, and its selfless help in humanitarian assistance to Gaza. Pakistan and China maintain traditional friendship and the two sides cooperate well. Pakistan hopes to continuously deepen bilateral relations with China and expects China to continue to uphold justice for Palestine on the Palestinian issue and play a more important role in realizing the "two-state solution".
