Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov awarded the Russian Ludwig Nobel Prize

KAZAN, June 11 - RIA Novosti. The head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, was awarded the Russian Ludwig Nobel Prize, the press service of the head of the republic reported.

“Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov became a laureate of the Ludwig Nobel Prize. He was presented with an honorary award today in St. Petersburg,” the message says.

The Russian Ludwig Nobel Prize was established in St. Petersburg in 1888. In 2005, the award was revived. It is awarded annually for outstanding professional achievements. Among the laureates are eminent political, scientific, cultural and spiritual figures of the country. According to established tradition, the ceremony is held on June 11 - on the eve of Russia Day. The Ludwig Nobel Foundation operates successfully, implementing cultural and social projects.

Minnikhanov thanked the organizers of the Ludwig Nobel Prize and the Foundation of the same name.

“You are doing an extremely important and necessary job. Thanks to the activities of your organization, the continuity of generations is being revived, and our society is regaining the memory of undeservedly forgotten pages of history,” the head of Tatarstan emphasized.

He noted that he regards this award as a high assessment of the merits of the entire multinational people of Tatarstan.
