The Moscow Motorcycle Festival combines sporting events and traffic safety promotion

The participants set off in the traditional march through the "Sadovoye Koltso", before the festival activities continued on Academician Sakharov Street, where the event combined sports activities, music, parades, and topics related to road safety.

The motorcycle parade was led by representatives of 35 cycling clubs and communities. The program included performances on the main stage by Mott and IOWA, as well as parades within the "Motodzio", races on the Flat Track circuit, and a fire show. Competitions were also held to choose "Motoledi" and "Motobrat", and the program concluded with a traditional draw on a motorcycle.

The festival went beyond the traditional gathering of two-wheeled vehicle enthusiasts, bringing together representatives of motorcycle communities and allowing visitors to learn about new trends in bicycle culture, follow shows and competitions, and enjoy the atmosphere of a large urban event.

Traffic safety was one of the main themes of the festival. Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Metropolitan Government for Transport and Industry Affairs, Maxim Liksutov, said: “The capital includes more than 130,000 motorcyclists, noting that the number of traffic accidents involving motorcyclists decreases every year.”

He stressed that motorcycle festivals represent an opportunity to remind us of the importance of responsible behavior on the roads.

Throughout the season, Moscow organizes events aimed at developing motorcycle culture and enhancing interest in safety, while the festival allows bikers to showcase their techniques, exchange impressions and meet with people with common interests, and for visitors to learn closely about the world of motorcycles and its traditions.

The grand parade through “Sadovoje Koltso” was one of the main points of the program, and the bike parade turned the city streets into a wide space for communication and highlighting the motorcycle community. Organizing the festival in an urban environment also highlighted the importance of mutual respect between motorcyclists, car drivers, pedestrians and public transport users.

The festival also formed a platform for dialogue between representatives of the motorcycle communities and the city, to discuss current issues and establish responsible behavior while driving.

The diversity of the program and wide participation showed that modern motorcycle culture can be part of urban life, while maintaining concern for safety.

The festival concluded the motorcycle season in an atmosphere of joy, giving participants an opportunity to show off their bikes and meet people with common interests, and visitors had the opportunity to learn about motorcycle culture and spend a day at one of the major urban events.
