The Central Meteorological Administration stated that cloudy to sunny weather will continue throughout the day today (23rd). There will be localized short-lived showers in the southern mountainous areas in the afternoon, and scattered short-lived showers in the southern region and other mountainous areas. Starting in the evening, as the moisture brought in by the northeasterly wind increases, the chance of rainfall increases in greater Taipei, the eastern half of the region, and the Hengchun Peninsula.

In terms of temperature, the daytime high temperature in Keelung and the eastern half today is about 29 to 31 degrees, and the western half can reach 31 to 33 degrees. It will be even higher in some inland areas, and the ultraviolet rays will be stronger around noon. In terms of low temperature, it is slightly cooler at night and early morning, with temperatures ranging from 22 to 24 degrees in the north and around 25 to 27 degrees in other areas.

In terms of weather on the outlying islands, Penghu is sunny and cloudy at 26 to 29 degrees; Kinmen is sunny and cloudy at 25 to 30 degrees; Matsu is sunny and cloudy at 25 to 29 degrees.

The Meteorological Administration pointed out that Tropical Depression No. 29 was located about 2,180 kilometers southeast of Eluanbi at 2 o'clock this morning, moving northwest to west, and has the tendency to develop into a mild typhoon. Tomorrow, there will be local short-lived showers on the north coast of Keelung, the northeastern region and the mountainous areas of Greater Taipei, and there will be scattered short-lived showers in the greater Taipei, eastern and southeastern regions and the Hengchun Peninsula.

Affected by the cloud system outside the typhoon next Monday (28th) and Tuesday (29th), there will be local short-lived showers in the north and northeastern areas of Taoyuan, scattered short-lived showers in the eastern and southeastern areas, and cloudy to sunny in other areas.
