Russia says Ukraine launched nearly 9,000 attacks this week to prevent elections

Miroshnik added to the "Novosti" agency: "This week we reached a new peak, as the Kiev regime launched nearly 9,000 attacks. This equates to between 1,250 and 1,270 attacks per day."

He stressed that the Ukrainian side, by striking civilian targets, is making every effort to prevent the holding of elections by military means.

He also said: “We saw an increase around May, and in August, the number peaked, and the numbers indicate that this approach was planned, as Kiev, with the support of its Western sponsors, tried to prevent people from going to vote.”

It is noteworthy that the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed on Tuesday that the losses of the Ukrainian units that were surrounded in the city of Dobropolje in Donetsk amounted to about 50 soldiers.

The Russian army is still confronting the Ukrainian marches, advancing on all axes, improving the situation along the front, and also launching intensive strikes on facilities in the industrial and energy sectors and the defense industrial complex in Ukraine.
