Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on the 28th that North Korea is preparing to send an additional 10,000 officers and soldiers to Russia in exchange for Russian technical support and the development of attack drones.

Yonhap News Agency reported that according to information from the Ukrainian President’s Office, Zelensky stated in a speech to the nation on the 28th that there are currently more than 8,000 North Korean soldiers stationed in Russia, and North Korea is preparing to send an additional 10,000 soldiers to Russia.

Zelensky pointed out that North Korea had previously sent troops in exchange for Russian technical support and is currently producing the "Shahed" series of attack drones with Russian technical assistance.

Zelensky did not mention the transfer of North Korean prisoners of war to South Korea that day. While attending the United Nations General Assembly in New York on the 23rd, Zelensky confirmed that Ukraine had sent two North Korean prisoners of war to South Korea, triggering protests from South Korea.
