The municipal project of Shenzhen Huanggang Port Joint Inspection Building passed the completion acceptance and is ready to be opened to traffic

China News Service, Shenzhen, September 29 (Reporter Suo Youwei) The Port Office of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government announced on the 28th that the Shenzhen Huanggang Port Joint Inspection Building Municipal Engineering Project, constructed by China Construction Fifth Engineering Group South China Company, has recently successfully passed the completion acceptance and is ready to be opened to traffic, providing guarantee for the official opening of the Huanggang Port.

It is understood that the Huanggang Port Joint Inspection Building project consists of two parts: the new joint inspection building and peripheral municipal projects. Among them, municipal engineering assumes the core functions of improving the transportation network in the Shenzhen-Hong Kong border inspection area, enhancing the supporting capabilities of port customs clearance, and deepening the interconnection of infrastructure between the two places.

The Huanggang Road node project that has been completed and accepted this time includes newly built bridge ramps, ground auxiliary roads and underground tunnels. It is connected to the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Expressway and Huanggang Road, which can achieve seamless connection between the port and the expressway network. It is a key channel for the Huanggang Port to connect to the Shenzhen side.

During the construction process, faced with operational difficulties such as the small construction site and close proximity to highways and large-tonnage hoisting across highways, the project construction team organized expert demonstrations and working condition deductions many times to optimize hoisting paths and plans, and applied BIM virtual pre-assembly, finite element simulation analysis, modular fabricated support systems, laser rust removal green construction and other technologies across the board to ensure that the construction progress nodes and project quality were fully controllable.

Previously, the North Plaza area and the Lok Ma Chau Bridge had successfully passed the completion acceptance and handover. The North Square area is the connecting passage between the Huanggang Port Station of Metro Line 7 and the B2 floor of the Joint Inspection Building. Passengers can take the subway directly to the customs clearance area; the J1 and J2 underground tunnels divert traffic such as taxis, buses, and social vehicles, which will alleviate the dilemma of "can get in, but can't get out" during peak periods. The Lok Ma Chau Bridge is located at the junction of the Shenzhen border inspection and control area and the intercity railway project under construction, and spans the only passable road in the area. It is the most critical channel for the Huanggang Port Reconstruction Project to directly connect Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

It is reported that the reconstructed Huanggang Port will be positioned as the most important 24-hour passenger land port between Hong Kong and Shenzhen, and will implement a "one place, two inspections" arrangement and a new customs clearance model of "cooperative inspection, one release" to further improve passenger customs clearance experience and efficiency.
