On the 29th, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's First Investigative Division arrested Shinobu Ishihara (53), a self-proclaimed real estate agent from Daiba, Minato Ward, on suspicion of attempted robbery and home invasion, for providing real estate customer information to an anonymous and mobile criminal group (Tokuryu) and being involved in a robbery. It appears that the suspect served as the information source, and a ``case maker'' who was in charge of planning the incident gathered executors through a solicitor and started the incident, and the division is investigating the circumstances.

He was arrested on suspicion of colluding with Yasuhiro Nakajima (50), who is said to be the handler of the case, and was charged with attempted robbery and other crimes. At around 7:40 p.m. on March 20, the suspect broke a window into an architectural office/residence in Shiomi, Koto Ward, assaulted a couple in their 60s and 50s, tied them up, and attempted to rob them of money and belongings. The attempt was unsuccessful due to resistance from the couple.

According to the division, around November 2024, Ishihara provided Nakajima with information such as the address and family structure of a couple who were consulting on the purchase of real estate. The plan was to carry out the project next month, but it was canceled due to a lack of people to carry it out.

In March of this year, Ishihara was approached by Nakajima, whose other robbery plan had failed, about another plan to target the couple's home, and he agreed to the plan. As compensation, 50% of the stolen money and goods was to be divided between Nakajima and the three people who recruited him.

The division has so far arrested seven people, including Nakajima, the recruiter, and the executor in the case that targeted the couple's home. Based on statements and analysis of his smartphone, suspicions emerged that Ishihara was the source of the information.
