Murder case of private house in Ota, Gunma, ex-son-in-law publicly wanted

In connection with the murder of office worker Yuka Tezuka (52) in a private house in Ota City, Gunma Prefecture, prefectural police on the 26th obtained an arrest warrant for Miharu Nozomi (30), the ex-husband of Tezuka's eldest daughter (28), occupation unknown, from Iseyama-cho, Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture, on suspicion of attempted murder of Tezuka's eldest son (26). Before the incident, the eldest daughter contacted Gunma and Tochigi prefectural police about the suspect's psychological domestic violence.

Suspect Mihara is about 165 cm tall and has a medium build. A security camera captured the suspect, wearing dark clothing, running away from the scene in a northbound direction. Gunma Prefectural Police believe that after killing Tezuka, he attacked his eldest son who returned home.

According to the First Investigative Division, Mihara is suspected of cutting the eldest son in the back of the head and back with a knife at Tezuka's residence in Ichiba-cho, Ota City on the 25th at noon.

According to police in both prefectures and investigators, on March 30, the eldest son called 110 to report that Mihara and his eldest daughter were arguing in Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture. The eldest daughter visited Gunma Prefectural Police Ota Police Station on June 2nd and consulted about mental domestic violence. On September 19th, we also consulted with the Tochigi Prefectural Police Sano Police Station.

Police in both prefectures gave verbal guidance to the suspect. The suspect had been living at a private house on the scene with his eldest daughter and others, and the eldest daughter was urged to take measures such as evacuating to a place unknown to the suspect. The day before the incident, police officers from Ota police confirmed that the eldest daughter was safe.

There are three people in Tezuka's family. When the eldest son was returning home with his eldest daughter, he encountered the suspect indoors and was attacked. The eldest daughter was not injured, but she found Tezuka lying inside the room, covered in blood, and called 911.

Tezuka was pronounced dead at the scene, with more than a dozen stab wounds and cuts on his chest and arms. The fatal stab wound to the chest reached the lungs, and the cause of death was hemorrhagic shock. A knife with a blade length of about 20 centimeters was left in the room.
