A man surnamed Wu drove an Audi from Miaoli south to Pingtung and waited for 10 hours. He drove his 13-year-old Douyin girlfriend to a motorcycle to have sex without a condom. The girl wrote her worries on a test paper in class, and the teacher found it and reported it. In the first trial, Wu Nan denied being involved in the case and was sentenced to three years in June. In the second trial, he pleaded guilty in full and settled for 350,000 yuan. The Kaohsiung High Court found that the circumstances were light and the law was heavy, and the sentence was changed to 2 years in prison.

The verdict pointed out that an 18-year-old man surnamed Wu met a 13-year-old girl who was studying in a junior high school through Douyin, and the two developed into an online couple. On February 3, 2023, Wu Nan drove a white Audi from Miaoli south to Pingtung to attend an appointment, but the girl's tutor was strictly prohibited from going out at any time. After the two met, Wu Nan took the girl to a motel in Pingtung City on the grounds that he was tired and wanted to rest, and continued to have sex three times before checking out. Wu Nan "ignored after ejaculation" and the girl wrote down her worries about pregnancy on a test paper in class. The school teacher picked it up and reported it according to the law.

During the trial in the Pingtung District Court, Wu Nan denied committing the crime, arguing that the girl looked mature in the photos and "I thought she was 25 years old." He even tried to collude with witnesses before the trial. The judge found that he showed no remorse and sentenced him to three years and six months in prison for the crime of sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 14.

Wu Nan appealed against the decision. During the trial at the Kaohsiung High Branch Court, Wu Nan not only changed his plea to plead guilty, but also actively negotiated with the girl and her parents, eventually reaching a settlement of 350,000 yuan and paying part of the money in advance. The girl and her family also wrote a mediation note, expressing their willingness to forgive Wu Nan.

The judge believed that Wu Nan complied with the commutation regulations of "cases are light and law is heavy", so he revoked the original sentence and commuted the sentence to 2 years in prison. The whole case can still be appealed.
