The "Xingcun Cultural Landscape Park" in Gangshan, Kaohsiung, where the famous Taiwanese drama "A Handful of Green" was filmed and which carries the memories of countless air force pilots, will be officially reopened on October 3 after four years of restoration. On the first day of the park's opening, senior media person Wang Weizhong was specially invited to create an exclusive drama and issued an "Awakening of Villagers Calling Order" to invite the original residents to return to their homes.

Xingcun covers an area of ​​1.72 hectares and has 7 buildings. Its history can be traced back to the naval aviation plant staff dormitories during the Japanese colonial period. The Japanese-style roof and two-story cement arches create a unique military village landscape in Taiwan. After the war, it became the "home" of the air force academy and pilots. Following the demolition due to the government reform, Xingcun was retained due to local struggles and was registered as a cultural landscape in 2017.

Director of Culture Wang Wencui pointed out that restoration is not only the rebirth of old buildings, but also the re-presentation of the memories of people and land. In 2022, with a project subsidy from the Ministry of Culture, the team adopted the concept of "not renovating a new old house" and retained the Japanese colonial arch circle, post-war additions and the vegetation symbiosis of Building C, making the park a cultural space that can "read time".

To celebrate the opening of the park, the Cultural Affairs Bureau specially invited Wang Weizhong's team to conduct field research and publish the full play "Xingcun turns out to be sauce", revealing the deep connection between Gangshan's local mutton stoves, doubanjiang and the air force. It also invited the Golden Bell Best Actor Zhang Chenguang and actor Zeng Shaozong who once lived in Xingcun to perform on the same stage to tell the story of the people in the military dependent village back then.
