Poland will equip more than 100 km of border with Ukraine with an electronic security system

Warsaw is equipping more than 100 kilometers of the border with Ukraine with an electronic security system. This was announced by the deputy head of the Polish border service, Violetta Gozkowska, Polskie Radio reports.

“We are talking about 69 kilometers in the area of ​​responsibility of the Nadbuzhansky department [of the Polish border service] and another 43 kilometers of the land border with Ukraine in the area of ​​​​responsibility of the Bieszczady department of the border service. These are our immediate plans,” she said.

Such a system would complement physical barriers and would include video surveillance and motion sensors, Gozkowska explained.

According to her, Poland also plans to strengthen existing border security systems with Russia and Belarus, including the installation of drone detection systems.
