Four NATO reconnaissance aircraft spotted near Russian borders

Four NATO reconnaissance aircraft are operating on Wednesday near the borders of Russia, according to flight data analyzed by RIA Novosti.

The American Bombardier ARTEMIS II reconnaissance aircraft has been circling over the Black Sea along the Russian coast for almost seven hours, traveling from Romania, where it is based, to Sochi.

It was joined in the afternoon in the same area by the British large strategic reconnaissance aircraft Boeing RC-135W Rivet Joint, which turned off its transponder during the flight over the Black Sea. At about 14.00 Moscow time he turned it on again and moved into the sky over Poland. There he continues his flight at a distance of approximately 40 kilometers from the Belarusian border in the direction of the Kaliningrad region.
