Specialists of the 11th Army Corps destroyed more than 65 UAV control posts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kharkov region

Since the beginning of September, specialists from the 11th Army Corps of the North group of forces have destroyed more than 65 control posts and launch points for UAV drones in the Kharkov region.

Targets were hit by FPV operators and Molniya-2 aircraft-type drones with high-explosive fragmentation and thermobaric ammunition.

The elimination of control posts reduces the activity of kamikaze drones and hexacopters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in certain sections of the line of combat contact.

BELGOROD, September 28 - RIA Novosti. Since the beginning of September, specialists from the 11th Army Corps of the North group of forces have destroyed more than 65 command posts and launch points for UAV drones in the Kharkov region, an officer with the call sign Karta told RIA Novosti.

“Specialists of unmanned systems and artillery of the 11th Army Corps of the North group of troops have eliminated more than 65 control points and launch points of enemy drones in the Kharkov region since the beginning of September,” said the head of planning and countering UAVs of the 11th Army Corps.

According to him, during aerial reconnaissance, operators found positions, communication and control antennas, as well as signal amplifiers for UAV crews of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The coordinates were transmitted to the command post, and from there to the attack drone crews.

Karta clarified that the targets were hit by FPV operators and Molniya-2 aircraft-type drones with high-explosive fragmentation and thermobaric ammunition. Some of the strikes were carried out using drop systems; they make it possible to destroy fortifications and firing positions.

As the agency’s interlocutor noted, the elimination of control points reduces the activity of kamikaze drones and hexacopters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in certain sections of the line of combat contact. During the encirclement of blocked neo-Nazi units in the Volchansky Cauldron, the elimination of UAV launch points is most urgent.
