The third Qinghai Province Fire Protection Industry Vocational Skills Competition opens with 124 contestants participating

China News Service, Xining, September 23 (Qi Zenbei) On September 22, the three-day Qinghai Province Third Fire Industry Vocational Skills Competition opened at Qinghai University for Nationalities, attracting 10 teams and 124 contestants. The participating groups include fire commanders of the national comprehensive fire rescue team, full-time government (enterprise) firefighters, members of social rescue organizations and employees in the fire protection industry of local units.

The competition closely follows the practical characteristics of disaster response in Qinghai with high altitude, high cold, and complex terrain. It has 5 professional job types and 17 competition subjects, including fire rescuers, fire communicators, and search and rescue dog trainers. It focuses on practical job operations and emergency response capabilities, and scientifically meets the local special disaster risk management needs.

Lv Xianhua, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Executive Vice Chairman of the Qinghai Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, said in his speech that Qinghai's special regional environment places higher demands on Qinghai's fire rescue professional capabilities. "This competition focuses on reviewing the training results of all personnel and building an industry talent exchange and competition platform. It can effectively promote learning and combat through competition, and continue to improve the regional fire emergency response capabilities."
