National autumn grain harvest proceeds in an orderly manner

CCTV News (News Network): Autumn grain accounts for about three-quarters of the annual grain production. At present, autumn grain harvests are beginning to arrive across the country, and major production areas have taken many measures to improve harvesting efficiency and ensure that grain particles are returned to warehouses.

The latest agricultural dispatch from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs shows that the national autumn grain harvest is nearly 20%. Among them, the southwest harvested more than half, and the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River harvested more than 30%. At present, some autumn harvest areas across the country are experiencing rainfall, and harvesting mature crops has become an important step.

More than 30 million acres of mid-season rice are being harvested in Hubei. In Taihe Town, Ezhou, due to the continuous rainy weather, the mature plots have not yet completely dried out. The local area urgently mobilized wide-track harvesters to go to the fields to harvest to improve harvesting efficiency.

The autumn grain harvest of more than 76 million acres in Henan is more than half progressed. In Zhoukou, in view of the high humidity in the fields and high moisture content of corn grains caused by rainy weather, farmers immediately transported the freshly harvested tide grains to nearby drying towers for centralized drying, achieving a seamless connection between harvesting, transshipment and drying.

Heilongjiang soybeans are harvested on a large scale. At the core demonstration base for high-protein soybean planting and yield improvement in Hegang, two large combine harvesters can complete soybean threshing, straw crushing and other operations at one time, with a daily harvest volume of 1,000 acres.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will advance field management by zoning and classification, organize the supply and demand docking of agricultural machinery in advance, and seize the opportunity of fine weather to promote autumn grain harvest.
