Chongqing-Wanzhou High-speed Railway, Shituo Yangtze River Bridge and Highway Bridge were successfully closed, and all railway and highway bridges were connected

China News Service, Chongqing, September 26 (Zhang Xu You Qian) On September 26, the Shituo Yangtze River Bridge highway bridge, a control project of the new Chongqing-Wanzhou High-speed Railway (hereinafter referred to as the "Yu-Wanzhou High-speed Railway"), was successfully closed. At this point, the railway bridge and highway bridge are all connected.

According to the China Railway Bridge Bureau, the construction company, the Shituo Yangtze River Bridge is located in Fuling District, Chongqing City, with a main line length of 1,416.9 meters and a main bridge length of 1,056 meters. As a shared bridge between the Chongqing-Wanzhou High-speed Railway and the Fuling West Ring Expressway, the Shituo Yangtze River Bridge will achieve "one bridge dual use" for high-speed railways and expressways.

The bridge is located in the variable backwater section of the Three Gorges Reservoir area, where the water level fluctuates greatly. It is also close to the main channel of the Yangtze River, and the construction environment is complex. Faced with this situation, in order to ensure construction safety, the Chongqing Transportation Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Corps Project Quality Supervision Detachment embedded supervision into the construction organization, urging participating units to seize the low-water window and optimize the hoisting construction sequence.

At the same time, the detachment promotes the in-depth application of smart construction management platforms. By integrating progress, safety, quality, materials and other information, supervisors use data to compare and judge risks, and promote the upgrade of management from "man-to-man" to digital and intelligent. As of September 26, the detachment has conducted 12 online inspections of major hazard sources on the bridge through online remote video.

The Chongqing-Wanzhou High-speed Railway is approximately 254 kilometers long and has a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It connects Chongqing East Railway Station and Wanzhou North Railway Station. It is an important part of China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network.

At present, the main project of the entire Chongqing-Wanzhou High-speed Railway has been completed, and the track laying and post-station projects are accelerating. It is planned to be completed and opened to traffic in 2027. After the opening of the Chongqing-Wanzhou high-speed railway, the travel time between the central city of Chongqing and the urban clusters in the Three Gorges Reservoir area in northeastern Chongqing will be significantly shortened, injecting new momentum into the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing twin-city economic circle and the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
