The first China-Arab Digital Dialogue was held during the 5th Digital Trade Fair and a number of cooperations were reached

China News Service, Hangzhou, September 26 (Xi Jin ()) -> From September 23 to 27, the 5th Global Digital Trade Expo was held in Hangzhou. During this period, the China-Arab International Cooperation on Artificial Intelligence and the First China-Arab Digital Dialogue of the Arab Digital Economy Alliance were successfully held at the Hangzhou Convention and Exhibition Center.

More than 200 Chinese and foreign guests gathered at the venue, including more than 60 senior government officials, representatives of international organizations, and corporate executives from 19 Arab countries. They had in-depth exchanges on topics such as artificial intelligence, robots, digital infrastructure, green technology, e-commerce and digital trade, and promoted China-Arab digital cooperation from consensus to project implementation.

As one of the important concurrent events of the 5th Global Digital Trade Expo, this event is hosted by the League of Arab States and the Arab Digital Economic Alliance, with the theme of "Digital Silk Road, the Future of Interconnection - Building a New Model of a China-Arab Digital Community with a Shared Future".

Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, delivered a video message. Atif Ahmed Helmi, Chairman of the Arab Digital Economic Alliance Assembly and former Minister of Communications of Egypt, and Abdihakim Hassan Ashkir, Deputy Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation of Somalia, delivered keynote speeches. China and Argentina agreed to further promote the synergy and docking of technology, industry, capital, talent and rules, and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in the digital field.

During the release of major results of the event, seven China-UAE digital cooperation results were released and signed, involving a total of US$255 million in fund scale, annual cooperation intentions and project amounts, covering fields such as robotics, industrial funds, intelligent manufacturing, food trade, education and training, and artificial intelligence strategic decision-making.

Among them, the China-Arab Digital Innovation Industry Fund has a scale of US$100 million; Al Fahim Group and Gree Electric Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation; the China-Arab robot project "ROVARA" was officially launched and centralized project signing was achieved; the Arab Digital Economy Alliance and Jinpin Cross-Border signed a cooperation on the Arab Food Center project; the Arab Digital Economy Alliance and Digital Communication Group (DCG) signed a strategic cooperation on the Arab education and training platform; the Arab Digital Economy Alliance and Fayu Technology signed an agreement to establish a China-Arab Artificial Intelligence Strategic Decision-making Joint Laboratory.

Four thematic dialogues were held at the event: artificial intelligence, robotics and application innovation, digital infrastructure and major projects, green technology and sustainable investment, e-commerce, digital trade and financial services. Guests from China and Arab countries conducted in-depth discussions on topics such as practical applications of artificial intelligence, robotics and automation, data centers and cloud computing, smart cities, green investment and financing, payment interoperability, digital identity and trust, providing pragmatic paths for subsequent project docking and industrial cooperation.

This event is one of the important concurrent events of the fifth Digital Trade Fair. The China headquarters of the Arab Digital Economic Alliance landed in Hangzhou during the Digital Trade Fair, marking the upgrade of China-Arab digital cooperation to permanent and institutionalized operations. In the next step, we will focus on promoting the operation of the China-UAE Digital Economy Industry Cooperation Fund, using capital ties to connect Arab sovereign funds and Hangzhou digital industry projects, using the "ROVARA" robot project as a model to promote China-UAE robot procurement, application and localization cooperation, providing one-stop services such as market access, certification, channels and financing for AI companies to go overseas, and connecting policies, partners and office resources for Middle Eastern companies and capital that have landed in Hangzhou, forming a two-way channel of "bringing in" and "going out".
