Employees of the Russian FSB Directorate for the Magadan Region stopped the activities of two criminal groups that organized a wholesale distribution channel for red caviar.

More than two tons of caviar worth about 14 million rubles were seized from illegal trafficking.

MAGADAN, September 29 - RIA Novosti. Employees of the Russian FSB Directorate for the Magadan Region stopped the activities of two criminal groups that organized a wholesale distribution channel for red caviar and seized more than two tons of the delicacy from illegal circulation, the department’s press service reports.

“As a result of the operational search activities carried out, the illegal activities of two criminal groups that organized a wholesale channel for the transportation and sale of unmarked salmon caviar by air from the village of Evensk to Magadan and other regions of the country were suppressed,” the statement says.
