Yangsan City, '2026 Yangsan Sapryang Cultural Festival' will be held from the 2nd to the 4th of next month.

Yangsan City, Gyeongsangnam-do, announced on the 29th that it will hold the '2026 Yangsan Sapryang Cultural Festival' at the Yangsan Stream and the Yangsan Sports Complex from the 2nd to the 4th of next month.

This festival, held under the theme of 'Yangsan united as one, the sound of a great leap', is decorated with a variety of performances and experience events encompassing Yangsan history and traditional culture as well as modern culture and arts.

On the opening day, an opening ceremony and a congratulatory performance will be held, followed by the ringing of the Yangsan Grand Bell and the citizens' parade. La Poem, ONF, Kang Moon-kyung, Seo Ju-kyung, Gummy, Choi Jeon-seol, etc. will perform on stage, and after the performance, fireworks will be held in the sky above Yangsan Stream.

On the 3rd, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Yangsan City's elevation, a nostalgic music journey 'Totozzle Yangsan #Ryang' will be held featuring Cho Seong-mo, Wax, Noise, Bada, and Park Sang-min. There will also be programs that citizens and families can enjoy together, such as a Samjangsu wrestling competition in towns and villages, performances by local artists, and family musicals.

On the 4th, the last day of the festival, the Samjangsu Gigi Dance Contest will be held along with the Woongsang Nongcheong Jangwon Nori, Jindo County Arts Group performance, and Gayajin Yongsin Festival demonstration. The competition will be followed by a performance by Korean traditional music new age bands Aux and Dodry.

In addition, various side events such as a kids zone for children, bubble show, citizen participation booth, culture and arts experience booth, exotic fish catching contest, and small business and company promotion exhibition are also operated.

At night, a photo zone and night lighting scenery using the image of a parasol blocking the sunlight will be presented.

During the festival period, traffic will be restricted on the roads around the event site, and parking lots will be operated at six locations, including Yangsan Girls' High School, Yangju Elementary School Stadium, Yangsan Station Parking Lot, and Yangsan Sports Complex.

Mayor Na Dong-yeon said, “We will provide a venue for harmony where tradition and modernity come together to make it a festival that citizens can enjoy together and revitalize the local economy.”
