Six documentary films including "Returning to Home after a Long Journey" were recommended and selected into the National Image Collection Project

The 5th Chinese Documentary Film Conference Recommendation Ceremony and Closing Ceremony, directed by China Central Radio and Television, the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the Propaganda Department of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, was recently held at the Guangzhou Grand Theater in Guangdong. Six films including the reality-themed documentary film "Returning to Home after a Long Journey" were rated as recommended works and were permanently collected by the "National Image Collection Project".

It is understood that "Returning to Home after a Long Journey" is directed by young director Zheng Xusong, with Crown Prince, Dong Aihui, and Chi Qingbo serving as producers. The film lasted four years of tracking and filming. It does not require narration, scripts, or intervention in life, and uses real life flow to narrate the story. The camera takes root in Baisha Town, Jiangjin District, Chongqing City, recording the daily life of Pan Zhaode, a young man who has returned home: he works in a winery to make a living, takes care of his sick elders, raises his young daughter, and faces life challenges such as changes in the workplace and separation and death.

In the recommendation and exchange session of the 5th Chinese Documentary Film Conference, the film's recommendation words from the conference mentioned: "Because it allows workers to be seen, and allows the tenacity and dignity of ordinary days to be expressed on the screen." The film records ordinary workers with a head-up lens, showing the tenacity and dignity of ordinary people in the great era. Through real Chinese local stories, the film makes the people's narrative in the process of Chinese modernization more vivid and credible, and also allows the world to see a vivid and three-dimensional contemporary China through the lens.

It is reported that "Returning to Home after a Long Journey" has won the St. George Award for Best Documentary in the Documentary Competition of the 48th Moscow International Film Festival and the "Sharp Eyes" Award of the International Federation of Film Clubs.
