Russian drone attacks Ukraine's Kliforo shopping mall, killing 14 and injuring more than 100

(Central News Agency, Kyiv, comprehensive foreign news report on the 21st) Ukrainian authorities said that Russia launched two drones today to attack a shopping mall in the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, killing at least 14 people and injuring more than 120 people.

Reuters reported that Kliforo is the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Local chief Oleksandr Hanzha said on the messaging software Telegram that 22 children were among the injured.

"There are currently 29 people seriously injured, including five children," he said, while posting a photo showing a large amount of black smoke rising from a large industrial building.

Zelensky called the attack "extremely callous and despicable," noting that about half an hour after the first Russian drone struck the mall, a second drone struck again, deliberately targeting emergency workers rushing to the scene.

Zelensky said on Telegram that "such attacks are tantamount to acts of terrorism" and called on the international community to hold Russia accountable.

Russia is intensifying its air attacks on Ukraine. Yesterday, Russia launched a ballistic missile attack on Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, killing 17 people.
