17-year-old chases a stolen car near Passau

A 17-year-old masked with a balaclava chased the police in a stolen car near Passau. Police officers shot at the car, as the Lower Bavaria police headquarters announced. The car was traveling at speeds of up to 170 km/h.

During his escape, the 17-year-old is said to have caused several accidents and broken through a roadblock. He eventually drove off the road and allowed himself to be arrested without resistance.

The vehicle was stolen from a garage in Passau on Saturday night. Border Patrol officers discovered the car on Saturday evening. The driver had previously filled up in the Freising district without paying.
