In recent years, there has been a trend of young people returning to their hometowns to start businesses in Chiayi County. They have returned to mountain towns with their emotions for their hometown and their taste of life. They have built unique cafes and teahouses in old houses, tea gardens and mountains and forests, making coffee and tea a new way for travelers to get to know the place. According to the Chiayi County Culture and Tourism Bureau, Fenqi Lake has recently added a new highlight. "Shanmo Rihe" has opened, which together with Yipin Coffee Manor, Zhaiyi, Xianjing Cafe and Zouzhuyuan connects the mountain coffee and tea tourism routes.

The Chiayi County Culture and Tourism Bureau stated that as young people return to their hometowns, coffee shops and teahouses in Chiayi County have become more diverse. Some have restored old houses, some have started in the family tea business, and some have invested in coffee planting and roasting. "Shanmo Rihe" is located next to Fenqi Lake's cedar forest plank road. It was founded by the new generation of young people of Fenchi Lake Hotel. It inherits the family's more than 80 years of mountain city experience and incorporates the design thinking of the younger generation. The building is made of black burnt cedar and cypress, and the semi-open space is integrated into the forest greenery. There is a Japanese tea room on the second floor, and offers cherry blossom coffee specialties, ice cream, Alishan Aiyu and other items.

"Yipin Coffee Manor" retains the original layout and traces of time of the 60-year-old house. It is fully reservation-based. You can enjoy afternoon tea under the verandah, make reservations for hand-baking coffee and hand-washing jade. "Zhaiyi" continues the family tea-making spirit and reinterprets tea culture with wood and pure white space. A selection gallery is planned on the second floor to integrate tea, daily life products and fragrance into daily life.

"Xianjing Cafe", which has been in the tea industry for more than 30 years, has invested in the cultivation and roasting of specialty coffee. The space has mountain-view seats and uses cold and hot methods to present the flavor differences of the same coffee bean. "Zou Zhuyuan" has long attracted the attention of Alishan coffee lovers. In addition to tasting coffee, you can also book a tour of the coffee estate to learn about the story of the coffee origin.
