Zhejiang Jiaxing Nanhu Airport opens international cargo route to Chicago

Chicago is an important economic and trade center in North America, which can radiate high-end manufacturing, cross-border e-commerce and modern business and trade industry clusters across the United States. The new route will open up the channel between the Yangtze River Delta and the North American market, provide foreign trade companies with differentiated space and timeliness options, and realize a flexible combination of "air + land + sea" multimodal transport.

In the early morning of September 21, China Postal Airlines' all-cargo plane flew from Nanhu Airport to Luxembourg after completing customs supervision, marking the official opening of Zhejiang's first direct international cargo route to Luxembourg. Nanhu Airport's new international routes are "open twice a week", the freight network has achieved two-way expansion of key nodes in Europe and North America, and foreign trade companies in northern Zhejiang have more global logistics options "at their doorstep".

In order to prevent the risk of imported infectious diseases brought by the new flights, Jiaxing Customs planned in advance and set up a special work team to conduct scientific analysis and judgment based on the global epidemic situation of infectious diseases, local epidemic conditions and overseas travel conditions of crew members, and formulated a port public health risk assessment report to determine special prevention and control measures such as aircraft boarding quarantine and imported vector organism monitoring.

In addition, in response to the current situation of night flights on new routes that are concentrated in departures, Jiaxing Customs continues to make good use of the scheduled customs clearance and scheduled inspection mechanisms to ensure that flights can be processed at any time; smart supervision equipment such as the airport intelligent control center, intelligent map review, intelligent robot dogs, and en-route supervision work together to shorten the overall customs clearance time on the basis of good management.
