The Pingtung County Government has fully subsidized nutritious lunches for county primary and secondary schools starting from this school year, with a total annual expenditure of about 850 million yuan. Pingtung County Mayor Zhou Chunmi went to Wantan Elementary School today (7th) to participate in the Friendly School Week pledge event. He also had lunch with the students. Pasta, Taiwanese chicken drumsticks, Wantan red beans, and Pingtung bananas. The children happily enjoyed it and said, "It's so delicious!"

Today is "Simple Meal Day" at Wantan Elementary School. By simplifying meals and practicing low-carbon diet, the food farmer education concept of "Eat Locally, Eat in Season" is integrated into daily nutritious lunches. It launches tomato sauce pasta, braised chicken drumsticks, organic vegetables and red bean noodle soup made from red beans produced locally in Banten, the "Hometown of Red Beans", which are nutritious and loved by school children. The meal has been highly praised by teachers and students of the school.

Starting from this school year, Ping County will fully subsidize nutritious lunch fees for county-level primary and secondary school students, with an investment of approximately 850 million yuan per school year, benefiting approximately 50,000 students. County Mayor Zhou Chunmi said that nutritious lunches are not just a meal, but also related to knowledge of ingredients, eating habits and health development. Quality control will never be lax, and we will continue to promote the "Three Chapters and One Q" and give priority to the use of local Pingtung ingredients, while optimizing the treatment of kitchen workers.

In addition, the county government has implemented the Friendly School Week promotion. The theme of this semester is "Reject first-level harm and stay away from etomidate: don't rely on, don't try, don't hide, and ask for help." Teachers and students of Bandan Elementary School jointly promoted the event through a vivid drama today. County Magistrate Zhou Chunmi also led teachers and students to jointly take an oath to demonstrate Pingtung County's determination to create a "zero tolerance for drugs", refuse drugs into schools, and maintain campus safety.
