Two Chinese men drove a rubber boat to smuggle themselves to Taiwan. Shilin District Prosecutor's Office sued and asked for 2 years in prison.

Two Chinese men, Luan Yingliang and Yu Hai, smuggled themselves to Taiwan in a rubber boat on July 23, two weeks before the Han Kuang exercise. After landing at Bali Beach in New Taipei City, they had fun all the way from Shuangbei to Taichung for 7 days. It was not until July 30 that they were traced by the Coast Guard. Arrested in Taoyuan City, the Shilin District Prosecutor's Office today charged two people with violating the Immigration and Immigration Law and the Cross-Strait People's Relations Ordinance, and specifically requested two years in prison. The prosecutors are highly suspicious of the two people's claims that they went to sea to go fishing and accidentally landed in Taiwan.

According to the inspection investigation, the two men drove south from Qingdao, Shandong, to Jinhua, Zhejiang, to buy an outboard motor, and then drove to Fuzhou, Fujian. At about 4 a.m. on July 22, they drove a rubber boat with an outboard motor out to sea from the coast of Fuzhou. After sailing for 21 hours, they arrived at the Beidi Beach of Bali Taipei Port at about 2 a.m. on the 23rd.

The prosecutor's investigation revealed that 35-year-old Luan Nan was from Qingdao and 44-year-old Yu Nan was from Urumqi, Xinjiang. They both claimed to have settled in Qingdao with their families. They were also engaged in the clothing and T-shirt sales business. They were friends in the same industry for many years. Fishing and sea fishing were their common hobbies. They argued that this trip from Fuzhou was also for sea fishing. Later, they accidentally landed on the north coast of Taiwan due to "getting lost". They denied premeditated smuggling.

However, the prosecutor is highly doubtful of his statement. Although there were two fishing rods on the rubber boat, no fish was caught. It is extremely unreasonable for two people to catch sea fish in a small rubber boat without enough weight and get lost while being able to accurately land in Taiwan.

The prosecutor is currently unable to confirm whether the two have Chinese military backgrounds. Their mobile phone query records show that they have viewed the videos of many bloggers who came to Taiwan to conduct live broadcasts or shoot videos, including a video posted in May last year claiming to come to Taiwan alone in a rubber boat and planting a five-star on the coast of Taoyuan Dayuan. "Shandong Kai Ge", who flew back to China, explored Taiwan's geography and people's information by watching a large number of videos of Chinese tourists in Taiwan. After arriving in Taiwan, he traveled to five counties and cities: Taipei, New Taipei, Taichung, Hsinchu, and Taoyuan. The motive for smuggling has yet to be further clarified by the court.

The prosecutor is now prosecuting the two men for the crime of entering the country without permission under the Entry, Exit and Immigration Act and violating the Cross-Strait People's Relations Regulations. It believes that the two men have caused substantial harm to our country's border management, coastal defense security and social order, causing serious unrest to the public, and specifically requested a sentence of two years.
