Police officer surnamed Ye from the First Security Police Corps was sentenced for sexually assaulting a minor

A police officer from the First Corps of the Security Police, surnamed Ye, asked a boy from abroad to perform oral sex on him in May last year. He was sentenced to one year in prison and suspended for five years for the crime of obstructing sexual autonomy. When the prosecutors checked his mobile phone, they also found that Officer Ye also used an online dating software to lure two 14- and 15-year-old boys to take selfies of their anus and send them to him for viewing and collection. In the first instance, the Keelung District Court sentenced him to 1 year and 10 months in prison for the crime of inducing and filming sexual images of children under the Child and Juvenile Sexual Exploitation Prevention Act. In May 2024, police officer Baoyi Ye supported the Keelung City Police Department and asked Azhi (pseudonym), a teenager studying in a junior high school, to have oral sex through a dating software. Ye Yuan reached a settlement with the boy and his parents, and the Keelung District Court sentenced him to one year in prison and five years of probation for the crime of obstructing sexual autonomy. The police recorded him with two major demerits, suspended him from duty, and handed him over for punishment. The disciplinary court sentenced him to be demoted to another level and reclassified, and he was fined 100,000 yuan.

From the seized mobile phones, prosecutors found that Ye not only asked Azhi to give him oral sex, but also chatted with a teenager through a dating app before. On April 9, 2023, he sent "I want to see your hole" to a 15-year-old boy in New Taipei City, luring him to take a selfie of his anus and send it to him.

On September 24 and December 8 of the same year, Ye asked a boy who lived in Miaoli and claimed to be 16 years old to take photos of his anus twice and send them to him for viewing. The words used in the conversation were very explicit, including "I want to see... your hole... that hole." But the boy is actually only 14 years old.

The prosecutor inspected the conversation records and confirmed that Ye knew that the 15-year-old boy in New Taipei was still in his first year of high school, that the Miaoli boy indeed claimed to have just turned 16, and that Ye knew that the other boy was underage. The prosecutor of the Keelung District Prosecutor's Office prosecuted Ye for the crime of violating the sexual exploitation of children. As a police officer, Ye must be given a heavier sentence according to the law, so he recommended that the judge give him a heavier sentence.

In the first instance, the Keelung District Court sentenced Ye to 1 year and 10 months in prison for the crime of inducing and filming sexual images of children. Ye appealed to the second instance, and the High Court reduced the sentence by 1 month and changed the sentence to 1 year and 9 months in prison. Appeals are still possible.
