Shen Boyang sets off the "Ocean Wave" and Huang Weihan reveals two major similarities with the 2018 Korean Wave

On the 15th, Democratic Progressive Party Taipei mayoral candidate Shen Boyang went to the Gongguan Night Market to sweep the streets and pray for votes. This once again set off an "ocean current" and a large number of supporters poured in.

Shen Boyang, the Taipei mayoral candidate of the Democratic Progressive Party, has been actively campaigning at the grassroots recently, setting off an "ocean wave" that reminds many people of the "Korean wave" of Han Kuo-yu's 2018 campaign for mayor of Kaohsiung. Media person Huang Weihanjin (17) pointed out in a Facebook post that the two have two similarities. One is that they challenge an "unwinnable place"; the other is that they are seriously underestimated by their opponents.

Huang Weihan pointed out, judging whether "the election situation is heating up"? It can be observed from four aspects, namely, voice (media exposure, online discussions), momentum (opinion poll trends), quality (popular slogans and political opinions), and quantity (actual army, crowds).

He pointed out that Yang Liu was obviously looked down upon by the blue camp, and had been looking down on him since he was nominated. Now he still calls those people "rats, cockroaches, and work-study students." This will only arouse more people and bigger ocean currents. As for whether he will win? He admitted that he did not know and had not seen any close polls yet (there will be a poll in Beijing on 9/22), but regardless of whether Shen Boyang won in the end, Ocean Current has already created a degree of voter enthusiasm and discussion in Taipei that is rarely seen in the green camp.

He said that the Hallyu in 2018 won by miracle; the Hallyu in 2019 failed. No matter which one it ends up being, this ocean current is just like the Korean Wave back then and cannot be ignored.
