China News Service, Dongguan, September 14 (Cheng Jingwei, Lin Yin) The two-day 2026 Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Nature Education Carnival ended on the 12th at Songshan Lake in Dongguan. According to statistics from the Guangdong Provincial Forestry Bureau, more than 50 booths from various organizations from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao were on display. The event attracted more than 20,000 participants, demonstrating the vitality of nature education in the Bay Area and bringing the concept of ecological civilization closer to the public.

Natural education bases, nature reserves, scientific research institutions and social organizations from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao jointly participated in the exhibition, transforming special courses and popular science results into immersive experience projects that the public can participate in. The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Nature Education Achievements Exhibition is linked to special exhibition areas such as animal specimens, insect displays, and natural science paintings, and simultaneously launches the Green Beauty Cultural Creation and Lingnan Ancient Tree Story Exhibitions, closely integrating ecological protection practices with the inheritance of Lingnan culture.

The event site is connected with nature education market, multi-themed exhibition areas, creative art check-in devices, stage performances and other sections, taking into account both dynamic and static scenes, covering the visiting experience needs of audiences of all ages. The on-site novel design, trendy games, and diverse exhibition contents break the limitations of traditional static science popularization and make nature education visible, playable, feelable, and accessible.

A large number of primary and secondary school students in Dongguan entered the carnival to check in and interact. The booths of Guangdong Qingxin Baiwan Provincial Nature Reserve and Bay Area Nature School were extremely popular; the Songhu Nature booth launched a pet climbing experience game, attracting children to compete.
This carnival innovates the curriculum organization model, using a combination of limited-time special courses and full-day permanent experiences to launch a series of high-quality nature education themed activities. Projects such as soilless cultivation, intangible cultural heritage paper-cutting, climate board games, and stage installation art co-creation of "A Spring Tree Comes" were carried out in turn, allowing participants to get close to nature through interactive exploration and harvest exclusive hand-made results.
"This market is very rich and the children have a lot of fun." Ms. Li, a student parent, believes that this event takes into account the differentiated needs of in-depth study and leisure experience.
According to the Guangdong Provincial Forestry Bureau, in recent years, Guangdong has used nature education as a bridge to deepen collaboration with Hong Kong and Macao in the ecological field and build an ecological civilization cooperation and exchange platform in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It has successfully held seven Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao nature education forums and carnivals, and carefully created a number of widely influential brand activities such as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Nature Education Season and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Observation Competition, making nature education an important window for people in the three places, especially teenagers, to perceive nature.
