The programs of the federal project “Professionality” received 1.4 million applications, which is more than 380 thousand more than a year earlier.

More than 4 million applications have already been submitted to colleges and technical schools in Russia for the 2026 admissions campaign, 1.4 million of them were received for programs of the federal project “Professionality,” the press service of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation reported.

“For the 2026 admissions campaign, 4.2 million applications were submitted to institutions of secondary vocational education in the country, including 1.4 million for the programs of the federal project “Professionality”. This is more than 380 thousand more than a year earlier. About 300 thousand students have already been enrolled in the programs, which is 51 thousand more than in 2025,” the message says.

The admission campaign to colleges and technical schools started on June 20 and lasted until August 15. If there are free places in educational organizations, the acceptance of applications is extended until November 25.
