"Chasing Dreams of China· Overseas Chinese Visit Liaoning" 2026 Overseas Chinese Media Interview Event Launched in Dalian

China News Service, Dalian, September 17 (Reporter Yang Yi) The 2026 overseas Chinese media interview activity "Chasing Dreams of China and Overseas Chinese Visiting Liaoning", guided by the China Overseas Chinese Federation and sponsored by the Liaoning Provincial Overseas Chinese Federation and the Liaoning Provincial Journalists Association, was launched in Dalian on the 16th. Representatives from 17 overseas Chinese media and 5 central media from 12 countries and regions including the United States, Canada, South Korea, and Australia gathered in Dalian to jointly write and tell about Liaoning in the new era.

An Jianye, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Liaoning Provincial Federation of Overseas Chinese, said in his speech that overseas Chinese media are the bridge linking China and other countries. He hopes that media friends will take this event as an opportunity to experience the vivid practice of the revitalization and development of Northeast China through the "Liaoning Window", be witnesses of Liaoning's revitalization and development, and share the fresh stories of Liaoning's efforts to revitalize. Live practice and objectively convey it to the international community; be a disseminator of Liaoning’s story, capture the pulse of the times and human fireworks of Liaoning’s development, and make Liaoning’s story flesh-and-blood, sentimental and meaningful; be a promoter of Sino-foreign cooperation, build a broad platform for dialogue and cooperation between Liaoning and the world, and gather great strength for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Zhou Qin, member of the Standing Committee of the Dalian Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of the United Front Work Department, said that Dalian is currently in a critical period of accelerating its comprehensive revitalization. He hopes that overseas Chinese media will make good use of an international perspective to record Dalian's revitalization practices in an all-round way, convey Dalian's location advantages, industrial vitality, humanistic style and development opportunities to all corners of the world, and guide more overseas Chinese and merchants from all walks of life to come to Dalian to visit, negotiate, invest and start businesses, and share the opportunities of the Northeast revitalization era.

Chen Lin, president of Canada's "Sour" magazine, spoke as a representative of overseas Chinese media. He said that overseas Chinese media will visit Liaoning from an international perspective, transform what they see and hear during this trip into words and images that overseas audiences can understand and resonate with, tell a true and vivid story of Liaoning's revitalization, and help Liaoning expand its international cooperation track.

At the launch ceremony, relevant representatives from the Dalian Municipal Commerce Bureau and the Dalian Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism introduced the city of Dalian to overseas Chinese media representatives.

It is reported that the "Chasing China Dreams and Overseas Chinese Visiting Liaoning" interview activity will last for seven days. The interview team will conduct on-site interviews in Dalian and Shenyang, and conduct in-depth exploration of Liaoning's development achievements in advanced manufacturing, scientific and technological innovation development, modern agriculture, historical context, urban renewal and other fields.
