Honoring a group of Lebanese and Arab artists at the “Murex D’or” 2026 ceremony

Many Lebanese and Arab artists were honored during the “Murex d’Or” ceremony for the year 2026, which was held in Lebanon on Sunday, during which a video designed with artificial intelligence technology by the Lebanese artist Fairouz was broadcast, in “a scene that embodies this year’s slogan: Return to the roots...an eye on the future,” according to the organizers of the awards ceremony in its 26th edition.

The Egyptian artist Laila Elwi, and the Lebanese artists Ragheb Alama, Manal Semaan, George Shalhoub, Mounir Maasri, and Joe Qudeih, were awarded honorary awards for their entire artistic career, as was the Syrian artist Mona Wassef, noting her distinction in the role she played in the series “Mawlana” during the last Ramadan 2026 drama season.

George Khabbaz was also honored as “a Lebanese film actor with international reach” for his role in the movie “Jonah,” and Lebanese actor Nicolas Daniel “for his career and the distinction of his role in the Salma series.”

Syrian actress Nancy Khoury won the “Excellence in Joint Drama” award for her roles in the series “Salma” and “Mawlana,” and Lebanese actor Yorgo Shalhoub won the “Excellence in Acting” award for his role in the series “Province 15” during the last Ramadan 2026 drama season.

Lebanese singer Marilyn Noman won the “Artistic Excellence” award, and Lebanese artist Bassem Feghali was awarded the “Exceptional Talent” award.

The “Most Influential Actress” award went to the Lebanese Maggie Bou Ghosn for her role in the Lebanese series “Bel Haram” during the last Ramadan 2026 drama season, and the Kuwaiti show play “Al Khiran Park.”
