From October 2026, Russians will be able to top up their accounts through third-party ATMs via SBP

From October 2026, Russians will have the opportunity to top up their bank accounts through third-party ATMs. RIA Novosti reports about the innovation with reference to the corresponding instructions of the Central Bank (CB).

We are talking about replenishing accounts through an ATM of a third-party credit institution using the Fast Payment System (FPS). At the same time, banks will make decisions on such measures independently.

The replenishment limit was set at 25 thousand rubles per transaction. It will be possible to deposit no more than 50 thousand per day, and no more than 200 thousand within a month.

Employees of the SBP operations center will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the limits. The system will send information about the verification results to the bank where the recipient's account is opened. Currently, clients can deposit cash into their account through ATMs of their bank or its partners.
