Representatives of overseas Chinese from 11 countries in Europe and Africa gathered in Taiyuan to start a week-long trip to visit Shanxi.

Shanxi is one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization, and is known as "Look at Shanxi with five thousand years of civilization". Shanxi cultural resources are spread all over the country, and the mountains and rivers inside and outside are magnificent. Currently, Shanxi is based on the transformation of a resource-based economy, promoting stable and progressive economic operations, accelerating the development of new productive forces, and continuing to deepen reform and opening up. As an important energy base in the country, Shanxi produces 1.3 billion tons of coal annually, accounting for about one-third of the country's output. During the visit, the overseas Chinese will visit cultural monuments such as Jinci Temple, Qiao Family Courtyard, and Pingyao Ancient City, inspect Taigang Stainless Steel Industrial Park and national-level specialized and new "little giant" enterprises, and learn about the innovative development of Shanxi's vinegar cultural industry.
