On the 29th, Wu Rong, director of the Wuzhishan Municipal Tourism and Cultural Development Bureau, said at a press conference dedicated to Wuzhishan City on the theme of "Getting Started with the '15th Five-Year Plan'" series. During the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, the city will deeply explore its unique advantages in rainforest ecology, national culture, and red resources, and make every effort to polish the golden sign of "Hainan is not included until Wuzhishan" to promote the upgrading, efficiency and empowerment of the city's cultural tourism industry.
Wu Rong said that Wuzhishan City will optimize the spatial layout of cultural tourism in the entire region and activate tourism consumption throughout the period. Relying on the two core circulation lines of the urban tourism development circle and the golden tourism circle, we will connect the city's key tourism towns and core cultural tourism nodes, and iteratively upgrade the existing cultural tourism consumption scenarios. Focus on building four benchmark cultural tourism projects: "Rainforest City", "Queen's Circuit", "Primary Enlightenment Garden" and "Nanming Qidian" to promote the transformation of city tourism from "transit tourism" to "overnight tourism and in-depth tourism".
Wuzhishan City will orderly promote the quality and efficiency improvement of key cultural tourism sites such as the Red Canyon Cultural Tourism Area and Fangnuozhai Tropical Rainforest Scenic Area, and continue to enhance the carrying capacity, attractiveness and competitiveness of core scenic spots. At the same time, the city’s ecological, cultural, red, and market resources have been deeply integrated to carefully create a number of city-wide high-quality themed tourism routes such as national intangible heritage and secret tropical rainforests, and link up with surrounding areas to create “Heart of Hainan·Secret Rainforest” cross-regional characteristic cultural tourism routes to enrich tourists’ travel experience.
In terms of deepening the integration of the cultural, sports and tourism industry, Wuzhishan City will strengthen the local cultural and tourism brand IP, use characteristic cultural and sports activities as a carrier, focus on building a "five-vehicle linkage" bicycle entire industry chain, and hold a series of cultural, sports and tourism activities such as the Li and Miao "March 3" and "Laozhoufu Cup" football matches on a regular and branded basis. Vigorously cultivate local cultural tourism business entities, deepen and strengthen the "Five Finger Mountain Treasures" regional public cultural tourism brand, actively create high-level rural tourism spots, and build a new pattern of integrated development of diversified industries.
At the same time, Wuzhishan City will speed up the construction of a "fast travel and slow travel" transportation system, scientifically build a "two doors and one center" three-dimensional tourism distribution system, upgrade and update hardware facilities such as tourism signs and signboards, tourism dedicated lines, break through data barriers in the city's core scenic spots, and achieve a comprehensive upgrade of tourism services. We will also carry out special rectification of the tourism market order on a regular basis, make good use of the "Hainan Safe Travel" platform, and make every effort to protect the legitimate rights and interests of tourists. By improving quality and efficiency in all aspects, we strive to achieve tourism revenue exceeding 2.8 billion yuan in 2030.
