DAESH operation in 22 provinces! 59 suspects were caught

Operations were carried out in 22 provinces by Provincial Gendarmerie Commands, under the coordination of the Gendarmerie General Command's Anti-Terrorism Department and the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices. A total of 59 suspects were caught during the operations.

IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THEY PROVIDED FINANCE TO THE ORGANIZATION

The following details about the operation were shared by the Ministry of Internal Affairs;

"59 suspects were captured in the operations carried out by our gendarmerie against the DAESH terrorist organization in 22 provinces. It was determined that the suspects captured in the operations carried out in 22 provinces by the Provincial Gendarmerie Commands, under the coordination of the Gendarmerie General Command's Anti-Terrorism Department and the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, were members of the DAESH terrorist organization, that they financed the organization through persons affiliated with the terrorist organization and so-called aid organizations, and that they made propaganda for the terrorist organization through their social media accounts.

For the peace and security of our country, we continue our operations against the activities and financial structures of the DAESH terrorist organization with determination. We congratulate our heroic Gendarmerie, TEM Department, Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and all those who contributed."
