这场争议近几年集中浮现,也与大学生群体及其家庭关系的变化有关。高等教育普及化之后,大学生面对的升学、就业、考研考公等选择更加复杂,家庭在信息、经济和情感层面的支持依然重要。加之不少家庭教育资源高度集中于子女,父母对孩子学习和成长的持续关注,往往不会因为一纸大学录取通知书立即中断。与此同时,这一代新生从小成长于家校沟通十分紧密的环境,家长群、成绩反馈、即时通讯早已成为日常,进入大学后,家庭与学校之间的联系也很难骤然归零。

因此,简单将大学新生家长会贴上“高中化”标签,未必准确。这一批评背后往往隐含着一个预设:大学生既已成年,家庭就应当立即完全退出。但成年并不意味着一个人在18岁生日之后,便骤然具备完全成熟的生活能力和判断能力。从青春期进入稳定成年阶段,本身就是一个逐步独立的过程。大学教育的重要任务之一,也正是帮助学生在这一过程中形成自主判断和责任意识。若家长会能够帮助家长了解大学教育与中小学教育的不同,并促使其逐渐调整自身角色,自有其合理之处。

但“高中化”的担忧同样不应被轻视。现实中,一些高校家长群演变为成绩通报栏,甚至出现家长要求辅导员代为催醒学生、过问日常生活等现象。这类做法将针对未成年人的管理方式延续至大学,模糊了成年学生应当承担的责任边界。因此,问题症结在于:家校协同究竟协同什么、介入到什么程度。

有价值的大学新生家长会,重点应放在必要的信息告知、入学适应、心理健康和突发情况处置等方面,更重要的,是帮助家长理解大学教育的特点,完成角色转换。过去十余年形成的教养惯性不会凭空消失,父母很容易继续沿用中小学阶段的管理方式。大学如果在入学之初明确告诉家长,哪些事务可以关注,哪些选择应由学生自己负责,反而有助于减少此后的越界干预。

这种角色转换的核心,是从“管理者”转向“支持者”。大学阶段的家校沟通,不能成为学校和家长共同管理学生日常生活的渠道,更不应成为家长持续掌握成绩、行踪和生活细节的工具。涉及选课、成绩、生活安排乃至职业选择等本应由成年学生自主处理的事务,学校应首先面对学生本人,而不是习惯性地寻求家长介入。

尤其需要警惕的是,一旦家校沟通成为常态化、细密化的管理机制,就可能产生新的依赖。学生遇到问题先等学校联系家长,家长则习惯通过辅导员了解并介入子女生活,久而久之,原本应该由学生承担的责任,反而被学校和家庭共同分担甚至替代。这显然与大学教育培养独立人格和责任意识的目标背道而驰。

因此,如果大学新生家长会只是一次必要的信息沟通,并帮助家庭理解大学教育规律,未尝不可;如果由此延伸出持续性的成绩汇报、生活监督,甚至家长代替学生处理事务,就已经越过了边界。

大学的育人目标,归根结底是让学生逐步学会为自己的选择和生活负责。学校和家庭当然可以提供支持,但这种支持最终应当指向同一个方向:把成长的空间和责任交还给学生本人。家长会是否合理,也应以此为尺度。
